Born and raised in New York City to parents from the Silent Generation, Bobby grew up with a geriatric taste in comedy, poring over the albums of Woody Allen, George Carlin, and Tom Lehrer, and devouring the movies of the Marx Brothers and Laurel & Hardy. At the urging of Sheba Mason, he started doing stand-up in late 2011. Often described as a musical combination of Larry David and Billy Crystal, Bobby uses his sarcastic and edgy wit to expose the absurdities of everything from climate change to mohels.

Bobby is also known for his numerous impressions; on more than one occasion he has made an entire audience believe he was Gilbert Gottfried from the back of the room.
